Rebecca Chen, MD

Board-certified dermatologist in Palo Alto

Dr. Chen is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She believes in a personalized approach to dermatology, using a combination of evidence-based care and refined techniques to help her patients feel both confident and comfortable in their skin.

A Bay Area native, Dr. Chen attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated summa cum laude with a dual-degree in Molecular & Cell Biology and Economics. When she graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College, she graduated with Honors in Research for her work studying indoor tanning and social media in dermatology at Stanford University. After completing a medical internship at Mount Sinai, she completed her dermatologic training at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY.  In August 2024, Dr. Chen joined Dr. Morganroth as his Mohs and dermatologic surgery fellow.  Following the year long training program, she will continue as a dermatologist at Palo Alto Dermatology Institute.

Having presented her research at numerous national conferences, Dr. Chen remains an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. In her free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
